For the follow up to the phenomenal time that was Alchemy Matinee #1 w Leon Vynehall, please join us for the 2nd Edition of our Matinee Series, which going forward will be taking place within the lovely and expansive confines of White Owl Social Club. Beautiful music, dancing, lounging, and good food and beverage will all be in abundance.
We've assembled a gang of some of the Rose City's finest dance music selectors to guide us from the afternoon thru sunset into the evening - glorious tunes will abide all the while.
For the occasion we've also enlisted the high end One Wub Sound System, which will be tuned with a spectral analysis system by Alchemy Technical Director Matt Duane (aka Alchemy Resident DJ Knomad). Trust that sound quality will be world class.

A transplant from nightlife epicenter Mexico City, Coast2c is holding down Modern Latin Dance Music styles in the Rose City as a lauded DJ and as the point person in up and coming DJ/Event crew Gran Ritmos. Buttery smooth on the mixer and eclectic and funky in her selections, Portland is truly blessed to count Coast2c among our ranks. Roy G Biv has been the main organizer, promoter, and DJ for the quarterly Control Top and the monthly Panty Raid in Portland and Mooseknuckle in Seattle. Aka Eilish Hynes, Alchemy Resident and Art Director who's been raving in Portland since 1990 - pretty much since the beginning of rave culture here. After 25 years of lighting up dancefloors as a dancer in the Rose City and beyond, she's putting her massive wealth of dance music knowledge and refined taste as a dancer and applying it as a DJ. SJ will be kicking off Matinee #2 with a set of sublime selections - don't sleep!
*JUSAYN*
Easily one of the Rose City's most underrated DJ's and best kept secrets, Jusayn has been steady rocking the underground house party circuit in the Rose City for years now. A vinyl purist, Jusayn brings a unique, vibrant, and funky sense to his selections combined with true school technical skills, all presented with his infectious charisma that unfailingly lights up the dance floor every time. *DANNY CORN*
Danny Corn lives on the vanguard of electronic music, leaving the trends to other people. As a DJ, he is known as an instrumental player in the formation of the "west coast" sound. Over the years Danny Corn has travelled extensively and played with just about everybody who has made moves in the scene. A champion of syncopated, bass heavy music, Danny Corn rides the edge of experimental sounds, whilst staying firmly committed to the dancefloor. *BEN TACTIC*
Ben Tactic is a veteran dj & producer from Portland, Oregon via Kansas City. Both as a solo artist and half of the dj & production team ‘Tactic’, Ben has established himself as a versatile and forward thinking figure in the US dance music scene. Known for his great ear and ability to seamlessly move through genres and tempos, Ben’s dancefloor sensibility has taken him all over the United States. He has performed at some of the best parties and clubs in the US along with prime time appearances at festivals like SXSW
(Austin TX) and Decibel Festival (Seattle).
Ben Tactic’s production has garnered international attention with plays on London’s prestigious BBC Radio1 and KISS FM, Seattle's KEXP and NYC’s East Village Radio. His production has made its way into the dj sets of Diplo, Sinden, Toddla T, Brodinski, Starkey, Jackmaster, Dave Nada, Cosmo Baker, J Boogie and many more. To date he has had remixes and original tracks released on labels such as Mad Decent, Dress 2 Sweat (now Numbers), Top Billin, Palms Out Sounds, Seclusiasis, Get Flavor, Rot10 Musik, and his own label Think 2wice.
In 2010 Ben, along with co-founder Lincolnup, established Bubblin; a groundbreaking event that features sounds from the house, garage, techno, UK funky and tropical bass continuum. Bubblin has become internationally recognized as one of North America’s definitive advocates for progressive club sounds. Over the years he has performed alongside genre defining artists such as Kode 9, Mt. Kimbie, Lazer Sword, Prefuse 73, Martyn, Pearson Sound aka Ramadanman, Cari Lekebusch, Africa Hitech, Jimmy Edgar, Kyle Hall, Lunice and many more.

Alchemy Resident and Technical Director once known as the bearded riddim purveyor, knomad has recently infiltrated the Pacific NW scene after leaving his home in New York. With a calm and assured demeanor until stepping behind the decks, those within earshot of his wares have quickly realized why his selections remain two steps ahead of the masses. knomad takes great pride in putting you on to new artists, often leaving anthems of the moment behind in favor of providing his audiences with a constant stream of “WTF IS THIS?!?!?!” moments on the dancefloor. As founder of On The Sly, knomad spent 2012 providing NYC with a safe haven for creative collaboration amongst a who’s who of the city’s electronic music voices. Alchemy Resident and tireless and unwavering servant of up to the time and timeless dance music sounds, Lincolnup holds forth from Portland, OR as co-founder of DJ and Event Production outfits Alchemy and Bubblin and as the Electronic Music Booker at Tonic Lounge. Actively DJ’ing in public since 2000, Lincolnup’s sets generally feature Garage, House, Techno, Disco and Regional Bass musics in their broadest senses. He’s built a strong int’l reputation for novel and compelling live dj sets and mixes, which have been heard by thousands and featured in noted periodicals such as Willamette Week and Trash Menagerie. His deep versatility and complete understanding of the pacing of a dance party has led to him being tabbed to share bills with a diverse array of talents, including DJ Krush, Reggie Watts (in Synth Club), Kode 9, DJ Godfather, Drop the Lime, Martyn, Elliot Lipp, Salva, Bondax, DJ Assault, and many others. He’s also played gigs in Seattle, LA, Honolulu and appeared multipe times at Decibel Festival in Seattle.
In 2009, Lincolnup approached Ben Tactic with an idea to throw dance parties generally featuring sounds happening at the intersection of Garage, House, Techno, Dubstep, and Tropical Bass. Ben agreed and together they founded the trailblazing dj/event production crew Bubblin. Since then they have produced parties that have seen Portland and Pacific Northwest debut appearances by a wide multitude of forward thinking and genre defining artists such as DJ Pierre, DJ Deeon, Todd Edwards, Digital Mystiks, DJ Technics, The Bug, Roska, Ben UFO, Om Unit, Machinedrum, Pearson Sound, Jimmy Edgar, Kyle Hall, Zed Bias, Dre Skull, RP Boo, MJ Cole, and lots more. In its five years of existence Bubblin built a globally recognized reputation as one of the crucial taste making crews operating in North America.
In late 2014 Lincolnup founded the up and coming Alchemy crew, which has already presented celebrated taste making events featuring bookings such as Flava D (Butterz/London UK) and Leon Vynehall (Aus Music/Bournemouth UK), and is poised to go on a singular run in it’s own right.
Since early 2014 Lincolnup has also been the Electronic Music Booker at Tonic Lounge in Portland. His tenure has seen the noted punk/metal/rock venue play host to a run of successful, forward thinking dance music bookings and events, which has firmly established Tonic Lounge as a destination for up to the time and timeless sounds in the Pacific Northwest.
